Product Description

STEM is the acronym used for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.

STEM education is based on the idea of educating children in four specific subjects in an interdisciplinary and applied approach. Rather than teaching the four disciplines on a separate basis, STEM integrates children into a more cohesive learning paradigm based on real-world applications of the subjects.

The emphasis is on fun, yet we inspire learning about concepts through dialogue and questioning.

Monday 18th December: Solid Structures

Solid structures will introduce children to the wide range of materials used in construction, such as timer. This session will culminate in children being set the challenge of constructing their own igloo.

Tuesday 19th December: Dig a Little Deeper

Dig a little deeper encourages children to learn about the hazards of building underground along with the importance of good foundations. They will put their knowledge to use, accordingly.

Wednesday 20th December: Motors and Electricity

This session teaches children about the fundamentals of motors and electricity. Children will be building their own motor, constructing circuits and putting electric motors to use across various applications.

Thursday 21st December: Christmas Coding

This session will challenge children to put their knowledge of Python to use as they are set a number of different tasks and activities with a Christmas twist.

Friday 22nd December: Entrepreneurial Engineering

Having been introduced to the design process that many entrepreneurs have faced as part of their careers, children will be tasked with designing and building a new product to be used during Christmas time. This could include a new toy, for instance.
