Tuesday 27 August: Perfect Polymers
Polymers are long-chained molecules composed of repeating single units called monomers. In this session, children will make their own polymers and will also examine polymers in nappies, hair gel and water beads.
Wednesday 28 August: Oceanography
Oceanography is the study of the ocean including its ecosystems, waves and tides. In this session, children will complete activities such as modelling the different layers of the ocean, investigating the effects of waves on beaches and more.
Thursday 29 August: The Future
In this session, children can expect to design and build a future based on advancements in science. Your child will participate in activities including building a moon base and implementing strategies for a carbon zero society.
Friday 30 August: Cars and Transportation
In our final session of the Summer Camp, your child will build and construct eco-friendly cars, build a new road for London and more. Children will learn about forces, energy and mechanical engineering as part of this theme.
