JOINING INSTRUCTIONS
We send our joining instructions 48 hours before the first day of the camp (normally Saturdays by 5:00 pm). We encourage you to read and follow our instructions carefully as it contains important information on our registration and dismissal procedures.
RATIO (Tutor:Child)
1:12 (minimum 5 children, maximum 12 children). We will offer you an alternative course if the course is fully booked or if the course does not open or if at any time, for any reason during the camp, there are fewer than five children enrolled until the end of the camp. Please do not place a booking unless you agree with our Terms & Conditions
LUNCH
Children must bring their packed lunch, snacks and enough water for the day.
GROUPS
Children are organised into groups according to their age and level of knowledge. We do our best to accommodate siblings and friends within the same group when requested.

ABOUT THIS CAMP
This face-to-face summer camp has been designed for children to enjoy, have fun and learn. Our face-to-face summer camp is exclusively delivered on a one to five ratio for greater scope for interaction, dialogue, questions and answers between the tutor and the child. We motivate children to develop their understanding of computer science and specific coding languages while having fun. We also stimulate children to be creative. We teach children to learn how to identify a problem and look for a solution.
WHAT WE TEACH
Introduction to humanoid robots, Hardware and Software, Sensors, Speech action, Motion Algorithms, Virtual world, Virtual vision, Infrared Sensors, Sonar Detection, Touch Sensors, Light Sensors, Directional Microphones and Speech Recognition, Artificial Intelligence, Circumnavigation, Assistive Robotics, Robot Learning, Machine Learning, Simulation and Reality, Human-Robot Collaboration, Event-based programming methodologies, WeBots, Standing, Walking and Sitting behaviours, Dance Project.
DIFFERENTIATION

WHAT IS A BIONIC ROBOT?
A bionic robot is a machine that is built, coded and programmed to resemble animal or human movements and behaviour. Bionic robots may also have an overall appearance of an animal and human such head, torso, legs and arms.
WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF ROBOTICS & PROGRAMMING?
Coding, artificial intelligence, robotics and programming are considered a basic but fundamental literacy skill within the digital age. Therefore, it is paramount for children to learn and have a good understanding of how computer science works so they will also be able to understand how technology works and how technology continually evolves around us.
THE IMPORTANCE OF DEVELOPING SKILLS IN COMPUTER SCIENCE
Computer science at schools is becoming a central concept in many academic institutions these days. Aside from the practical impact of coding and programming for future careers, it also offers other benefits for children learning the process. For both, the academic and non-academic performance of the children, coding tends to make a positive impact. Several educational institutions now introduce coding in their curriculum, including universities. It seems like the world has become more dependent on technology nowadays, and knowledge of coding is an advantage in the professional world.
ABOUT NAO ROBOT (V6) AND QUADRUPED DOG
NAO and the quadruped dog are highly sophisticated bionic robots which are widely used in academic research, companies and healthcare centres around the world. The NAO and the quadruped dog robots are widely known around the world and are tremendous programming tools for learning programming, robotics, coding, machine learning and artificial intelligence. The Nao and quadruped dog are designed to interact, recognise objects, faces. The robots create a unique human-robot interaction experience. The robots are highly capable of autonomous movement, are able to interact with children, identify objects and interact with its environment. Children can explore event-based configurations using the NAO and quadruped dog behaviour modules or create own behaviours using Python for more complex scripts.
