Product Description

The emphasis is on fun, yet we inspire learning about concepts through dialogue and questioning.

We will be offering brand new programmes for each week in summer.

***PLEASE NOTE THAT TOPICS AND/OR THE ORDER OF THE TOPICS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE WITHOUT PRIOR NOTICE***

Monday 22 July: The Social Media Effect

There are pros and cons as to the use of social media. In this debating-based session, children will debate the benefits of social media for teenagers. Children will be introduced to the parliamentary style of debating and will analyse articles on the effects of social media on teenagers.

Tuesday 23 July: Creating a Rebuttal

A rebuttal follows when a member of the opposing team states their argument. Children will learn how to summarise the arguments that have been made in a debate, and how to use their rebuttal to make one last case for their team.

Wednesday 24 July: Gender and Feminism

Children will be introduced to the topic of the gender pay gap. They will learn about the differences in earnings that exist between men and women in the capital. Children will also explore the concept of feminism over the years.

Thursday 25 July: A Note on Grammar

Grammar is the set of rules governing a language. In this session, we will reinforce the fundamental areas of grammar before children embark on a structured piece of writing such as a letter or biography.

Friday 26 July:  The Environment

Currently, the environment is a hot topic to debate on. In this session, your child will read the current strategies governments are adopting to reach zero carbon emissions before participating in the debate on the effectiveness of these strategies.
