About this camp: This face-to-face camp has been designed for children to enjoy, have fun and learn. Our face-to-face STEAM summer camp groups are small to enable tutors and children greater scope for interaction, dialogue, questions and answers. We motivate students to develop their understanding of science while having fun. We stimulate children to interact with scientists, biomedical university students, engineers, coders, programmers and roboticists. We teach students to learn how to identify a problem and look for a solution. We also foster the development of resilience. Sometimes, some children tend to give up easily. Therefore, we teach children that they need to try for alternate solutions to a given problem.

What we teach: We encourage children to learn and discuss in-depth STEAM facts and concepts. We also motivate children to have a good understanding of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics and the way these disciplines impact our day to day lives. Children work on activities to develop problem-solving skills, teamwork and resilience.

Topics include: Railways, A New Road, Navigation through the Ages, Airplanes and Airports, The Future: Rockets, Good Foundations, Brick and Timber, Building Bridges, Building Materials, Planning a City, Feats of Engineering, Archaic Archaeology, Ancient Art, Ancient Numbers, The Pre-Historic Past, Rocket Power, Modern Archaeology, A Sustainable Future, Natural Disasters, Oceanography.

Differentiation: At Richer Education, we understand that ‘one size does not fit all‘. Therefore, our tutors and mentors differentiate the content of our sessions. We ensure that all children, regardless of their level of knowledge, are engaged at the appropriate level and pace.
