About this camp: This virtual camp has been designed for campers to enjoy, have fun and learn. Our virtual summer classes are small to enable tutors and campers greater scope for interaction, dialogue, questions and answers. We motivate campers to develop their understanding of Psychology while having fun.

We also stimulate campers to be creative. We teach children to learn how to identify a problem and look for a solution. We also foster the development of resilience. Sometimes, some children tend to give up easily. We teach campers that they need to try for alternate solutions to a given problem.

What we teach: We encourage children to learn and discuss in-depth Psychology, what is the purpose of Psychology, what Psychology entails, fundamental definitions and concepts used in Psychology. We also motivate campers to have a good understanding of Psychology. Campers work on activities to develop problem-solving skills, teamwork and resilience.

Topics include: Introduction to Psychology, Psychology 101, Development, Famous Psychologists, Neuropsychology, Intelligence, Memory, Friends and Family, Structure and Function of the Brain, Behaviour,  Learning Styles, Perception, Language and Communication, Modern Psychology: What Does a Psychologist Do?, The Self, Mental Health, Attachment, Depression, Phobias, Memory and Eyewitness Testimony, Biopsychology, Cognitive Approach, Gender, Stress.

Differentiation: At Richer Education, we understand that ‘one size does not fit all‘. Therefore, our tutors and mentors differentiate the content of our sessions. We ensure that all children, regardless of their level of knowledge, are engaged at the appropriate level and pace.
