About this camp: This virtual camp has been designed for campers to enjoy, have fun and learn. Our virtual summer classes are small to enable tutors and campers greater scope for interaction, dialogue, questions and answers. We motivate campers to develop their understanding of politics while having fun.

We also stimulate campers to be creative. We teach children to learn how to identify a problem and look for a solution. We also foster the development of resilience. Sometimes, some children tend to give up easily. We teach campers that they need to try for alternate solutions to a given problem.

What we teach: We encourage children to learn and discuss in-depth politics, what is the purpose of politics, what politics entails, fundamental definitions and concepts used in politics. We also motivate campers to have a good understanding of politics. Campers work on activities to develop problem-solving skills, teamwork and resilience.

Topics include: What is Politics?, The Role of a Government, Political Leaders, Authoritarian Governments, Socialism, The Importance of Voting, International Relations, Democracy, Rule of Law, Communism, Political Campaigns, Political Ideologies, Anarchism, Capitalism, Forms of Government,  Elections and Referendums, Constitutional Frameworks,  Executive Branches, Liberalism, Socialism, Political Parties, Judiciary, Dictatorships, Conservatism, Civil Rights, Devolution.

Differentiation: At Richer Education, we understand that ‘one size does not fit all‘. Therefore, our tutors and mentors differentiate the content of our sessions. We ensure that all children, regardless of their level of knowledge, are engaged at the appropriate level and pace.
