***VIRTUAL ADVANCED SCIENCE FEBRUARY HALF-TERM CAMP WITH BRAND NEW TOPICS, PROJECTS AND DISCUSSIONS***
Time: From 10:00 am until 12:00 pm or 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm (UK TIME).
Location: Online via Zoom. Please be ready five minutes before the start time.
Tutor-Child Ratio: 1:9 (strictly minimum 3 children, maximum 9 children). We will offer you an alternative course if the course is fully booked or if the course does not open.
Resources for the session: Children will need to have access to stationery, including pens or pencils and paper.
About this camp: This virtual camp has been designed for children to enjoy, have fun and learn. Our virtual February Half-Term camps are small to enable tutors and children greater scope for interaction, dialogue, questions and answers. We motivate children to develop their understanding of science while having fun. We also stimulate children to be creative. We teach children to learn how to identify a problem and look for a solution. We also foster the development of resilience. Sometimes, some children tend to give up easily. We teach children that they need to try for alternate solutions to a given problem.
What we teach: We encourage children to learn and discuss in-depth science facts and concepts. We also motivate children to have a good understanding of biology, chemistry and physics and the way science impact our day to day lives. Children work on activities to develop problem-solving skills, teamwork and resilience.
Differentiation: At Richer Education, we understand that ‘one size does not fit all‘. Therefore, our tutors and mentors differentiate the content of our sessions. We ensure that all children, regardless of their level of knowledge, are engaged at the appropriate level and pace.

EXTRA-CURRICULAR IMPACT: THE DEVELOPMENT OF SKILLS FOR LIFE
Children certainly benefit from attending science extra-curricular (enrichment) science as we constantly instil and sustain the development of skills for life. From experience, we observe that over time, many children tend to develop a good attitude towards science. Children develop universally applicable problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Children also develop other significant skills such as teamwork, resilience, self-learning, presentation skills and self-confidence.
The emphasis is on fun, yet we inspire learning about concepts through dialogue and questioning.
