Monday 15 July: Confectionary Chemistry
Confectionary chemistry examines the chemical and physical properties of sweets. Children will learn about the edible and inedible parts of sweets along with their acidity all in a variety of hands on and practical experiments.
Tuesday 16 July: Skin and Bone
The skin and bone make up the integumentary system and skeletal system respectively. In this session, your child will learn about the structure of each system as they create a model skeleton and dissect a chicken wing and much more.
Wednesday 17 July: Arable Agriculture
Arable agriculture concerns the strategies taken to plant crops, flowers and more. In this session, your child will participate in experiments that examine soil quality, acidity, plant structure and more.
Thursday 18 July: Amazing Architecture
Architects plan, design and aid the construction of buildings. In this session, children will learn about the science behind the architectural process. Children will participate in experiments including architectural drawings, building with bricks and timber, and more.
Friday 19 July: Astrobiology
Astrobiology is the study of life in the universe. In this session children will compare the growth of microorganisms under UV light, make their own alien slime and examine the contents of unknown soil samples.
