Product Description

The emphasis is on fun, yet we inspire learning about concepts through dialogue and questioning.

Monday 18 February: Clever Science; Smart Materials

Our February half-term science camp commences with a look at smart materials. Smart materials are a group of chemicals that respond to changes in temperature, pressure or colour. Children will explore a range of uses and properties of these remarkable materials. Your child will have the unique opportunity to use materials such as polymorph and memory alloys.

Tuesday 19 February: The Science of Cities

Governing every great city is the knowledge and application of science. From discovering renewable sources of energy to transportation or using the most suitable building material. Cities are made of science. In this session, children will participate in a range of practical activities such as building a sustainable roof garden and constructing an eco-friendly car.

Wednesday 20 February: Excrete This! (This session will also include activities in Virtual Reality/Augmented Reality)

Excretion is one of the seven fundamental life processes. Excretion involves the removal of waste products and toxic substances from the body. In this session, your child will learn about the anatomy and physiology of the kidney, liver and digestive system. Children will model their roles in the body and will participate in anatomical dissections.
