The emphasis is on fun, yet we inspire learning about concepts through dialogue and questioning.
We will be offering brand new programmes for each week in summer.
***PLEASE NOTE THAT TOPICS AND/OR THE ORDER OF THE TOPICS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE WITHOUT PRIOR NOTICE***
Monday 22 July: The Robot Drawing Challenge
The opening session of the week uses Lego Mindstorms EV3. Children will learn and discover robot kinematics before embarking on a drawing challenge where they must use the robots to draw certain words or shapes using a colouring pen.
Tuesday 23 July: Show me your Message
In this Arduino-based session, children will connect the LCD screen and display a simple message. Children will continue to practise writing code and assembling circuits using the breadboard.
Wednesday 24 July: A Simple Website
Children will use Python in this session to build their own simple website. After an introduction to Python and website design in general, children will embark on creating their own website with text and a choice of images.
Thursday 25 July: Colourful Spin Wheel
In this mechatronics-based day, children will assemble a pre-designed spin wheel and will learn fundamental concepts related to DC motors such as the connection scheme. The DC motor will be connected to the spin wheel, using a potentiometer as a speed controller.
Friday 26 July: A Scientific Calculator
In this coding-themed day, children will use Python to code their own scientific calculator that will be expected to perform complex calculations. Children will learn about the Python language and scientific calculators in general.
We offer 10% discount on siblings booking and multiple bookings.
Any days booked individually will be charged at £90.00 per child.
