The emphasis is on fun, yet we inspire learning about concepts through dialogue and questioning.
We will be offering brand new programmes for each week in summer.
***PLEASE NOTE THAT TOPICS AND/OR THE ORDER OF THE TOPICS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE WITHOUT PRIOR NOTICE***
Monday 1 July: The BEETL3 Robot and Motion Primitives
Children will use Lego Mindstorms EV3 robotics to complete navigation tasks. Your child will be introduced to the hardware and software components of EV3 before progressing to a series of tasks to reinforce concepts.
Tuesday 2 July: Design your own Thermometer
In this mechatronics-based day, children will use Arduino to assemble and code their own thermometer. Children will be introduced to the C++ coding language, the programme structure before assembling a circuit on a breadboard.
Wednesday 3 July: Creating Games with Python
Children will learn the fundamentals of Python including its syntax, if statements, while loops and more before they progress to designing a simple game using Python. Children will test their game with other children.
Thursday 4 July: The Touch Sensor
In this session, children will continue to utilise EV3 robotics as they learn and make use of the touch sensor. Children will be set challenges including programming the robot to stop when the touch sensor is activated.
Friday 5 July: Avoid the Traffic Jam
Using Arduino, children will assemble a circuit using LEDs and program them to blink. Children will progress to more challenging tasks by amending the intervals that the LEDs blink. Children will gain an insight into how traffic lights work.
We offer 10% discount on siblings booking and multiple bookings.
Any days booked individually will be charged at £90.00 per child.
