Monday 1 July: Scripting a Play

Tuesday 2 July: An Introduction to Public Speaking

Public speaking is a fundamental skill that is applicable across many disciplines. In this session, your child will gain an insight into what public speaking entails, how to write a captivating speech and how to avoid the pitfalls of public speaking.

Wednesday 3 July: Debating Human Rights

In this session, children are introduced to human rights and learn about human rights declarations. Developing their public speaking skills, children must design and write a human rights speech on a current topic.

Thursday 4 July: Addressing your Audience

Effective writing and speaking skills are essential in order to engage the audience you are speaking with. Children will practise their English and public speaking skills by being given a variety of different audiences to speak to such as politicians, children and members of the public.

Children will examine some of the historical markers behind the global housing crisis and the importance of addressing this issue.
