The emphasis is on fun, yet we inspire learning about concepts through dialogue and questioning.
We will be offering brand new programmes for each week in summer.
***PLEASE NOTE THAT TOPICS AND/OR THE ORDER OF THE TOPICS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE WITHOUT PRIOR NOTICE***
Monday 8 July: Brick Structures
Bricks are building materials used across a wide range of structures including buildings and bridges. In this session, children will learn about the properties of bricks as a building material by making their own bricks and building a structure with mini bricks.
Tuesday 9 July: Pulleys
Pulleys are one example of a simple machine. In this session, children will learn about the engineering principles governing pulleys as well as the force calculations. Your child will design and build their own pulleys and cranes.
Wednesday 10 July: Tunnelling
In this session, children will discover the tunnels are more than just boring holes in the ground. Children will learn about the two principle tunnelling methods: cut-and-cover and deep-level as they construct model tunnels in a team.
Thursday 11 July: Nuclear Engineering
In nuclear engineering, children will model the core principles underlying its use such as chain reactions and half-life. They will also design and build a flagship nuclear power station by studying examples from the past.
Friday 12 July: Entrepreneurial Engineering
Having been introduced to the design process that many entrepreneurs have faced as part of their careers, children will be tasked with designing and building a new product to be used for Summer. This could include a new toy, for instance.
We offer 10% discount on siblings booking and multiple bookings.
Any days booked individually will be charged at £90.00 per child.
