The emphasis is on fun, yet we inspire learning about concepts through dialogue and questioning.
We will be offering brand new programmes for each week in summer.
***PLEASE NOTE THAT TOPICS AND/OR THE ORDER OF THE TOPICS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE WITHOUT PRIOR NOTICE***
Monday 5 August: Natural Disasters
In the opening session of this week, children will learn about and recreate examples of natural disasters such as landslides, flooding and earthquakes. Your child will then progress to constructing resilient buildings that can withstand the damage from a natural disaster.
Tuesday 6 August: Renewable Engineering
Renewable engineering is a rapidly developing area of engineering as governments look for ways to reduce their carbon emissions. In this session, your child will construct a model wind turbine, dam and water wheel.
Wednesday 7 August: Super Soil
Soil contains a range of different properties that makes it suitable material to build upon or use as a sustainable building material. In this session, children will complete investigations into the different properties of soil and will recreate a soil liquefaction experiment.
Thursday 8 August: Electrical Installations
In this session, we will reinforce the fundamental concepts of electricity such as current, voltage and resistance. Children will then wire an electrical plug, cable and more. The session will conclude by looking at electrical installations around the home.
Friday 9 August: Engineering and Architecture
There is a natural synergy between engineering and architecture which will be explored in this session. Children will be tasked with composing an architectural drawing to scale before bringing their creation to life using a variety of materials.
We offer 10% discount on siblings booking and multiple bookings.
Any days booked individually will be charged at £90.00 per child.
