The emphasis is on fun, yet we inspire learning about concepts through dialogue and questioning.
We will be offering brand new programmes for each week in summer.
***PLEASE NOTE THAT TOPICS AND/OR THE ORDER OF THE TOPICS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE WITHOUT PRIOR NOTICE***
Monday 19 August: Theme Park Engineering
There are a multitude of scientific and engineering concepts governing theme park rides. In this session, children will learn about the forces and structural considerations in theme parks. Children will work in teams to design and create their own theme parks.
Tuesday 20 August: The Design Process
The design process is key in any engineering project. It involves identifying a need, developing possible solutions, selecting a suitable solution, building a prototype, testing, evaluating the results, redesigning as needed, and repeating the process.
Wednesday 21 August: Offshore Engineering
Offshore engineering incorporates offshore wind farms and oil rigs. In this session, children will learn about the construction of wind turbines, gas pipes and oil rigs and will also construct model versions of these.
Thursday 22 August: Hydraulic and Pneumatic Systems
Hydraulic and pneumatic systems work with pressure. In this session, your child will learn the basics of pressure and how machines use pressure to multiply our force and lift heavy items with little force.
Friday 23 August: Environmental Management
Environmental management is a branch of civil engineering that deals with ways to minimise risks to the environment and sustainability. In this session, children will create a sustainable landfill, air filter and learn about the process of recycling.
We offer 10% discount on siblings booking and multiple bookings.
