The emphasis is on fun, yet we inspire learning about concepts through dialogue and questioning.
We will be offering brand new programmes for each week in summer.
***PLEASE NOTE THAT TOPICS AND/OR THE ORDER OF THE TOPICS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE WITHOUT PRIOR NOTICE***
Monday 15 July: Skyscrapers
In this session, your child will be exposed to the processes involved in building skyscrapers. They will be challenged to build their own mini-skyscraper the same way as real skyscrapers are erected. Children will learn about the importance of a steel frame.
Tuesday 16 July: Thermodynamic Engineering
In this session, children will be applying concepts from the field of thermodynamics, such as the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics; Pv=nRT to build on the understanding of how this incredible piece of machinery works. Your child will be working in a small team to assemble an internal combustion engine.
Wednesday 17 July: Bridge Design
Bridges are integral structures to allow the transportation of pedestrians, vehicles and trains. In this session, your child will be guided through the forces that act on bridges before designing, constructing and testing their bridges.
