The emphasis is on fun, yet we inspire learning about concepts through dialogue and questioning.
We will be offering brand new programmes for each week in summer.
***PLEASE NOTE THAT TOPICS AND/OR THE ORDER OF THE TOPICS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE WITHOUT PRIOR NOTICE***
Monday 12 August: Railway Engineering
To avoid accidents and warn drivers about other trains, signals are used. In this session, your child will be learning about traditional block signalling and how innovation can increase the capacity of our railways. Children will also construct model railways and learn about gradients.
Tuesday 13 August: City Planning
City planning is an integral part of urban engineering. In this session, your child will be tasked with planning a new city. Cost, space, transportation and road layout must be taken into account when creating their new city.
Wednesday 14 August: Water Engineering
We deal with all things related to water in this session. Children will learn about the principles behind hydraulics and the importance of providing clean water, amongst many more water-themed activities.
Thursday 15 August: Engineering Ancient Greece
We travel back in time in this session as we explore the contributions from Ancient Greece towards engineering. Your child will explore the structure of Greek temples, chariots and catapults as they create model replicas of these.
Friday 16 August: Material Engineering
This week finishes with a session on materials. Children will gain an appreciation of what properties different materials have through designing and building a motorway crash barrier and more. Children will also learn about how combining materials can improve their properties.
We offer 10% discount on siblings booking and multiple bookings.
Any days booked individually will be charged at £90.00 per child.
